It's a hard shoot-em-up endless runner game in space

Controls

Use the x button to fire bullets from your ship. The left and right arrow keys are used to steer the spaceship into the desired position. If you got destroyed, you can restart the game with x button.

Goals

Live as long as possible and shoot the enemies to get power-ups for your spaceship. Each power-up makes you faster and more powerful. But be careful, because your ship will be destroyed on the first hit.

Background story

Starbyte is developed for the Pico-1k game jam in september 2025 for the virtual console pico-8. It has to be used a limited code size of 1024 compressed bytes and doesn't not use sprites and sounds.
